This 3 hour workshop puts a spotlight on the recent trends on addressing bias in the workplace.  Companies are now leveraging neuroscience to mitigate bias to improve group interactions which increases productivity and innovation. Participants will explore different types of bias and how bias is processed in the brain. Participants will learn how to build their own mitigation strategy to help address bias when it occurs and enable thoughtful decision-making and actions. 

Petra Langwald has worked in technology companies in Germany, France, Canada and the United States. She holds two Master’s Degrees: One in Applied Information Management from the University of Oregon and one in Technical Translation [English, German and French] for Electrical Engineering and Mechanical Construction from the University of Hildesheim, Germany for. For the last 17 years Petra has been working Intel as technical program manager on complex, deadline-driven projects across international teams in various disciplines such as software development, hardware, competitive marketing and account management. Petra is very passionate about Diversity and Inclusion at Intel.
